Stevencahill.net / About
Hi, I’m Steven.
I build applications, automations, and AI tools for a living – and this site is where I write about the practical stuff that actually saves time.
I’m a Digital Innovation Lead working in Education Innovation at a TAFE in Victoria, Australia – which is a fancy way of saying I spend my days building things in Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Copilot Studio and SharePoint, and the wider Microsoft 365 stack, so other people don’t have to do the same manual task fifty times a week.
stevencahill.net exists because I kept having the same conversation over and over: “wait – can automate that?” This site, and the weekly newsletter that comes with it, is where I share what I’ve learned, so you can skip the trial-and-error and get straight to working smarter. No Jargon, no fluff – just skills you can use on Monday morning.
This site is also a small project of its own – built and maintained by me in WordPress with Kadence, which is as good an excuse as any to keep sharpening my web design and development chops along the way.
Most workplaces are full of manual processes that don’t need to be manual anymore. I’ve spent years in the middle of that problem – inside a large organisation, with real constraints, real legacy systems, and real people who just want their job to be a bit easier.
This site is that experience, distilled.
